What are credits?

Credits pay for the AI's work: writing, images, research and running workflows. 1,000 credits are worth about $1.

  • Every workspace gets 1,500 free credits a day, on every plan. They reset each day in your workspace's time zone.
  • Paid plans add a monthly allowance on top, which refills once a month.
  • Credits are used in order: today's free credits first, then the monthly allowance, then any top-ups.
  • Before a task starts, the credits it may need are set aside. You're only charged for what it actually used, and the rest is released.
  • When credits run low, the app tells you, so work doesn't stop by surprise.

Billing questions

Do I need a card for the Free plan?

No. Sign up with your email and you get the Free plan straight away, with 1,500 credits every day. You only add a card when you choose a paid plan or buy extra credits.

How does yearly billing work?

You pay for twelve months at once, which costs up to 25% less than paying monthly. Your monthly credit allowance still refills once a month, just as it does on monthly billing.

Can I change plans later?

Yes, from Settings → Billing. When you switch, Stripe charges or credits the difference for the rest of the current period straight away, and an upgrade adds the extra monthly credits at once.

What happens if I cancel?

Your plan keeps working until the end of the period you've paid for, then the workspace moves to the Free plan. Your content stays; you keep the free daily credits.

Do unused credits roll over?

Daily credits reset each day and monthly credits refill to your plan's allowance each month, so neither builds up. Credits you buy as a top-up never expire.

What if a payment fails?

The monthly credits don't refill while a payment is failing. Update your card in Settings → Billing and they refill again as normal.

Which currency do you charge in?

Plans and top-ups are priced in US dollars. Payments are handled by Stripe.

Can I use my own AI key?

Yes. If you connect your own Anthropic key, the AI's writing is billed to your Anthropic account instead of using credits. Paid tools such as image generation still use credits.

Is there a plan for larger teams?

The Business plan is for teams of up to 100 people, with 500,000 credits a month and contract pricing. Get in touch and we'll set it up with you.
